Anam Cara meetings

“a sacred space for soul-friendship”

Anam Cara (pronounced AH-num KAH-ra) is an old Gaelic phrase meaning "soul friend,"
a sacred space for soul-friendship, spiritual direction, and discipleship.

I invite you to slow down, listen deeply, and notice where God is already at work in your life. Through prayerful conversation, discernment, and compassionate presence, as an Anam Cara, I offer companionship for those longing to live with greater clarity, faithfulness, and wholeness. This is not about fixing or striving—but about attending to the movements of Holy Spirit and learning to walk more fully in step with God.

Each of these areas are held within a posture of listening, prayer, and humility—trusting that God is already present and active in your story.

A session for you is a dedicated time to meet, reflect, and listen — like a conversation over coffee, a focused prayer moment, a virtual meeting, or even a walk, depending on what is needed. This is your space to pause, explore, and be accompanied, wherever you are on your journey. Areas of accompaniment I offer:

  • Many of us carry identities shaped by our jobs, our family of origin, faith culture, or survival identities that no longer reflect who God is inviting us to become. My own journey moved from leadership and achievement into a deeper unfastening of false identities around worth, productivity, and calling. That journey shapes how I accompany others. This is sacred work: listening for what needs to be released, what is being restored, and how faith can move from striving into freedom together, not alone.

  • Seasons of singleness and relational longing can be some of the most spiritually formative—and misunderstood—spaces in a person’s life. I hold space for those navigating desire, waiting, grief, hope, and discernment around relationships. Having lived within the tension between faith, longing, independence, and surrender, I understand how deeply relational questions shape identity and trust in God. This accompaniment is not about timelines or outcomes, but about learning to remain open, faithful, and fully alive in the present season—without bypassing pain or rushing resolution.

  • Creative leaders often carry invisible weight, responsibility for others, decision fatigue, and the pressure to perform while staying inspired. Having spent years in creative operations and people leader development, I understand the intersection of vision, burnout, calling, and care for others. My work supports creatives and managers in discerning healthy rhythms, identity beyond output, and leadership rooted in integrity rather than urgency. This space is for those who lead quietly and faithfully, including those working in secular environments where spiritual support may be limited.

I’m Leigh. I didn’t arrive at this work because I had all the answers — I arrived because I needed accompaniment myself. My journey has included long seasons of creativity and burnout, clarity and loss, brokenness and rebuilding. I know what it’s like to carry responsibility quietly, to love God deeply while still asking hard questions, and to sense that something in your soul needs attention before it breaks open on its own.

Along the way, I learned the gift of being listened to without fixing, being prayed with instead of managed, and being reminded of who I am beneath all I do. That experience changed me and continues to — and it’s what I want to offer others. My hope is to create a honest and grounded space where you can slow down, speak honestly, and notice God’s presence in your real life, not a polished one.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11

“Leigh has not only helped me deepen my relationship with Jesus through her thoughtful questions about my faith life, but she has also given me a foundation to rethink my views on what it means to truly follow Jesus. The way she welcomes in the Holy Spirit to our time together has been transformative and has allowed me the space and peace to dig deeper, without fear, into the darker spaces that needed light and exposure. Without her guidance and the accountability she has provided, my walk would not be as rich as it is today, which is one of the biggest blessings because our relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in our lives and to have someone to walk alongside in this is truly transformative.” - Sabrina

“Leigh has a rich well of wisdom and scriptural knowledge that allows her to engage the Spirit in discernment and is a grounding partner for spiritual formation!” - Kayla

“You’ve created such a warm, safe space where everyone feels comfortable opening up and being real. Your honesty about where you are in you own walk has been such an encouragement - it reminds us that faith is a journey we’re all on together. I’ve really appreciated your insight, the wisdom you share and the way you always point us back to prayer. It’s clear how much you care and how dedicated you are to seeking God’s heart. Thank you for leading with both grace and authenticity”

“Leigh is in touch with the Spirit and so receptive to everyone. She’s so eager to minister and disciple. It’s inspiring”

“Thank you for encouraging and challenging us to grow deeper with the Lord. You are so gentle yet rooted and firm. I had this vision of you as a solid river rock being softened by the streams of the Lord’s love. Without the rocks the brook would lose its song” - Lauren

“Leigh challenged me deeply to take accountability and find agency in my work. It’s easy to blame external factors when things get hard, but easy things don’t lead to growth. I learned to advance my critical thinking, understand my emotions and move through conflict with a positive mindset. She asks (and helps you work through) the introspective questions that you need to hear! “ -Megan

— Hebrews 10:24-25
