My name is Leigh, I am an editorial style commercial photographer.
My work is rooted in observation more than performance. I'm interested in the moments that feel lived in, the expressions, gestures, and details that reveal something real rather than something manufactured. Whether I'm photographing with a creative team, or a brand, my goal is always the same: to make images that feel honest, thoughtful, and enduring.
I’ve spent years in creative leadership and brand development. That experience shapes the way I approach every project. I naturally think beyond individual photographs and consider how imagery fits into a larger story, while still believing the strongest images come from genuine connection rather than strategy alone.
I value collaboration, curiosity, and creating an environment where people can simply be themselves. The photographs that come from that place tend to have a quiet confidence that doesn't need to prove anything.
At the end of the day, I'm less interested in creating an idealized version of someone than I am in making work that feels true to who they already are.

By booking a session, accepting a quote, or accessing a gallery, you ("Client") agree to these terms with Leigh Germy ("Photographer").
1. Services & Booking
Services include photography, art direction, producer services, product design, and digital and print asset creation, as described on leighgermy.com/about. A booking is confirmed once the Photographer has accepted your request and any required retainer has been received. Sessions include Photographer time, one round of digital editing, and delivery via a private online gallery, unless a written quote states otherwise. Travel beyond 15 miles of Denver, CO may incur additional travel or lodging fees.
2. Payment
A retainer may be required to secure your date. Any remaining balance is due before final images or files are released. Payments are made through the process provided by the Photographer, including Venmo or Cash. Final files are not released until payment is received in full.
3. Proofs: No Downloading, No Rights
Proofs are preview images shared through a private gallery so the Client can review and select images. Proofs are provided for viewing and selection only. By accessing proofs, the Client agrees that:
Proofs may not be downloaded, screenshotted, photographed, copied, saved, printed, posted, shared, forwarded, or otherwise reproduced or distributed in any form.
Viewing a proof grants no rights of any kind, including no license for personal, social media, commercial, or any other use.
Proofs are unfinished work and remain the exclusive property of the Photographer.
Images may only be obtained by purchasing them through the process the Photographer provides: selecting images in the gallery, paying through the Photographer's payment page, and receiving the final high-resolution files through the Photographer's delivery method (private gallery or Hightail).
The Client will not share gallery links or passwords with anyone not authorized by the Photographer.
4. Final Images & Licensing
Final images become licensed to the Client only after payment is received in full, and only for the use described below. Copyright always remains with the Photographer.
Personal / portfolio use (personal portfolio, social media, non-commercial websites): included with standard rates; non-transferable.
Single editorial use (magazines, blogs, news articles): $150, photographer credit required.
Commercial / promotional use (websites, ads, brochures, paid social, brand materials): $500–$1,500 per image per year in use.
Exclusive / full buyout (unlimited use, no expiration): $2,000–$10,000+ per image, negotiated by scope and duration.
Additional high-resolution images: $25 each beyond those included in the session.
All licensing fees are based on final image selections and intended use. Any use beyond the license purchased requires written approval and additional licensing. Retouching, cropping, filtering, or altering final images requires the Photographer's written permission.
5. Unauthorized Use
If proofs are downloaded, copied, shared, or used without purchase, or final images are used beyond the license purchased:
The Client will be invoiced at the Photographer's standard licensing rates for the use made, and that invoice is due on receipt.
If the behavior continues after notice, gallery access will be revoked, remaining deliverables may be withheld, and the Client will be asked to remove all unauthorized copies and postings immediately.
The Photographer reserves all other rights and remedies available under law, including under the U.S. Copyright Act.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling
The Client may reschedule with at least one week's notice at no fee. Rescheduling within one week of the session may incur a $25 fee per occurrence, at the Photographer's discretion.
If the Client cancels more than twice, no further appointments will be made.
If the Client cancels and does not reschedule or transfer the session date to another party, any paid retainer is forfeited.
The Photographer may reschedule a session due to illness, personal emergency, or inclement weather, with no additional charge to the Client.
7. Portfolio & Promotional Use
Unless the Client requests otherwise in writing before the session, the Photographer may use final images in their portfolio, website, social media, and promotional materials.
8. Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for arriving on time, securing any needed location permissions, and obtaining releases or permissions from any people, products, or properties they bring to a shoot, where required.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Photographer will make every reasonable effort to deliver the agreed work. In the event of equipment failure, illness, loss of data, or other circumstances beyond the Photographer's control, liability is limited to a refund of amounts paid for the affected services.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Denver County, Colorado.
